Directions: Use this product during painful procedures to continue the anesthetic effects of your pre-procedure topical anesthetic, or to deaden broken skin. It will have no effect if applied to unbroken skin. This product contains 4% lidocaine and 2% tetracaine, together with a vascular constrictor, which reduces swelling, bruising and bleeding. This makes it the anesthetic of choice for fast onset and reduction of areas, such as lips or inner arms, where bruising and bleeding are a problem. Apply to the procedure area (do not put in the eyes or mouth) with an applicator, cover with plastic, wait 2-5 minutes, or until anesthetic effect occurs. Wipe off thoroughly before continuing your procedure so that the glycerin base does not saturate the skin. You generally do not need to reapply this product, as it will keep skin anesthetized and constricted for up to two hours.
Always wear gloves while applying and rinse the procedure area thoroughly upon completion. If you need more anesthetic effect before you have finished your procedure, use SJ3 to continue the anesthetic effect. |
